Patients from all income levels, especially, lower and middle-income groups, face financial constraints in managing their treatment costs. SMF mission (JEEVAN ASHA) enables them to overcome their fear and get into a survival mode. Our focus is to encourage people to make their own choice of medical treatment, while we stand by to offer any assurance needed by them.

Once kidneys fail, dialysis or a kidney transplant are the two ways to stay alive!
- End-stage kidney disease is a growing problem but unfortunately, we still don’t know the exact number of patients suffering from it.
- Data from the districts show that 1.85 lakh patients are currently on dialysis across Maharashtra.
- The patients from the poor economic class suffering from kidney failure are just sitting at home waiting for death.
- The pvt hospital charge Rs.2000 to 3000/- for each dialysis. Government hospital have various scheme run by Central & State with nominal amount of Rs.125 to 200/- per dialysis. At the government hospitals doctors are also under pressure because of huge numbers of kidney failure patients approaching them to get treatment. Which we think, need to be understand.
- The patient suffering from kidney failure has to do two dialysis in week. Due to financial problems they do not have money to approach private hospital / they prefer government hospital where number of waiting list is 70 to 100 patient in the month. The waiting list is to high that they can’t take dialysis on time. So this makes him sitting at home wait for death.
- Kidney transplant is only the way to get the patient well. Which is unaffordable & costly

The dedicated mission of SMF is to reach out to as many poor Kidney/Dialysis patients as many as they can and wipe out their tears, bringing a smile to their faces. We are here for giving help for poor and needy patients, covering many patients all over Maharashtra.
Any individual being diagnosed with Kidney Failure/Dialysis is affected by anxiety, depression and distress. These phases are very difficult for them to overcome and accept reality. A Kidney Failure diagnosis has a poor impact on the emotional health of patients, families & caregivers. It is very important to help them in such circumstances. During this time they often need help, support, and encouragement. Considering all these aspects for the positive outlook of the Dialysis patients, their families and their caregivers to lead a better quality of life, SMF not only provides financial assistance for their treatment but also stands with them by giving them the strong emotional support as that tends them to adjust to the changes that Kidney Failure brings into their lives.
