- Breast Cancer:
Breast cancer is the top cancer in women both the developed and developing country. Early detection in order to improve breast cancer outcome and survival remains the cornerstone of breast cancer control. According to medical experts, about 4 out of 5 breast cancer patients in India are at an advanced stage when they come to a hospital. Mammography is the best screening tool used to detect and diagnose breast cancer. Together with regular clinical exams and monthly breast self-examinations. USG breast may further be required to confirm the diagnosis if suspected.
- Cervical Cancer:
Cervical cancer is the 2nd most common cancer affecting the Indian women. Unlike most other cancers, cervical cancer can be prevented through screening by identifying and treating the precancerous lesions, any time during the course of cervical carcinoma. Women with pre- invasive lesions have a five-year survival rate of nearly 100%. In the absence of screening, nearly 70% of cervical cancer patients in India present in stages III and IV. Nearly 20% of women with cervical cancer die within the first year of diagnosis and the 5-year relative survival rate is 50%.

Oral cancer includes cancers of the mouth and the back of the throat. Oral cancers develop on the tongue, the tissue lining the mouth and gums, under the tongue, at the base of the tongue, and the area of the throat at the back of the mouth. Oral cancer most often occurs in people over the age of 40 and affects more than twice as many men as women. Most oral cancers are related to tobacco use, alcohol use (or both), or infection by the human papilloma virus (HPV).
- Head and Neck Cancer:
A group of cancers of the mouth, sinuses, nose or throat are called as Head and Neck Cancer. Head and neck cancer symptoms may include a lump in the neck or a sore in the mouth or the throat that does not heal and may be painful, a sore throat that does not go away, difficulty in swallowing, and a change or hoarseness in the voice. These symptoms may also be caused by other, less serious conditions. It is important to check with a doctor or dentist about any of these symptoms.
. Lung Cancer:
Cancer is a disease in which cells in the body grow out of control. When cancer starts in the lungs, it is called lung cancer. Two major types of lung cancer are non-small cell lung cancer and small cell lung cancer. Causes of lung cancer include smoking, second-hand smoke, exposure to certain toxins and family history. Symptoms include a cough (often with blood), chest pain, wheezing and weight loss. These symptoms often don’t appear until the cancer is advanced. Treatments vary but may include surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, targeted drug therapy and immunotherapy.
6.Prostate Cancer:
A cancer in a man’s prostate, a small walnut-sized gland that produces seminal fluid. A man’s prostate produces the seminal fluid that nourishes and transports sperm. Symptoms include difficulty with urination, but sometimes there are no symptoms at all. Some types of prostate cancer grow slowly. In some of these cases, monitoring is recommended. Other types are aggressive and require radiation, surgery, hormone therapy, chemotherapy or other treatments.
